So I’m just a wee bit of a fan of chilli nachos… OK a massive fan! But just a small portion of nachos can really up the old syn count. So a healthy alternative just had to be found. I’ve seen people using lasagne sheets etc but this is counted as one of those elusive ‘tweaks’.
So while making myself a yummy wrap with one of my Joseph’s lavash wholemeal flatbreads  (see link below) I had a brain wave. So far this is the only brand of flat bread that weighs 60g and has the right fibre quantities so can be used as a hexb. Hurrah!!!

Steps

1
Done

I just cut my tortilla into four strips like shown in the picture.

2
Done

I then got about cutting it into triangular 'chip' shapes

3
Done

Next I sprayed my baking tray with a liberal amount of frylight and lay my chips out.

4
Done

I then gave them a darn good frylighting and sprinkled them with salt.

5
Done

Then I just popped them in the oven on about 150° for roughly 10mins or until they have crisped.

6
Done

I then just allowed them to cool and topped my favourite syn free chilli recipe. Here is a link for my veggie chilli recipe or you could just substitute the mince for the real meaty thing

Done

I then just finish with my hexa allowance of cheese and voilà! Enjoy xoxo

Emily Boulden

Hello! So just a wee bit about myself! I'm Emily mother of 2 beautiful little men and partner to my 30 year old man child, haha. I'm a massive foody, Slimming world member and a former fatty! To date I have lost over 11 stone and am currently right were I want to be. I love experimenting with food and finding new ways to use different things. I'm a throw it in kind of chef but thought I'd share a few of my ideas and/or recipes. As well as a few piccies, I mean who doesn't like pictures of food, right?! XoXo

I’m so Sorry but i did supply the wrong link and it has now been updated to the correct one. However you can still use those wraps for the nachos. Weight wise and fibre content is still ok for your hexB. Just won’t get quite as much due to them being round.
